In 2026, security essen will also provide an important strategic impetus: for the first time, the Euro Defence Expo (EUDEX) will take place concurrently at Messe Essen. The new trade fair is aimed at stakeholders in the defence industry and underscores the growing importance of security policy issues in Europe.
The exhibition area dedicated to civil protection and civil defence links the two events in terms of content. This creates new interfaces between civil security, defence, public authorities and the armed forces – and thus an expanded network for decision-makers from both worlds.
