Josef Waclaw, CEO, Infotecs GmbH
Drones have proven to be efficient for security and surveillance and offer key advantages to personnel operating on the ground. Drones also become useful in many other areas, such as building maintenance or disaster relief operations. The video data recorded by drones can be highly sensitive, so unauthorized parties must have no access to them. The protection and security of these data are critical.
In his speech, Mr. Josef Waclaw will show how live video data transferred from drones via mobile networks can be encrypted end-to-end and thus protected from cybercriminals’ attacks. Thus, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) can establish encrypted connections with their ground stations or directly with authorized mobile end devices.
After studying computer science Josef Waclaw worked first as software developer and project manager at Nixdorf Computer AG, then as product and sales manager at Oracle Germany. At Sun Microsystems he held various sales management positions. Since 2013 he works at Infotecs GmbH as sales manager for the DACH region and since 2016 as CEO. In this position, he is responsible for strengthening the market position and for the strategic extension of the technology and sales partner network in EMEA.My events
