Prima’s offline reader EvoLock® is a smart and elegant handle with an integrated MIFARE reader that electronically controls access to doors. The user gain quick and easy access to the door simply by placing their access tag or card in front of the reader. Electronics, mechanical parts, LED signals and an adapter are all built into the sleek handle that creates a finished look with no need of extra wiring or power supply. The handle’s shape and design creates a space-saving solution and is part of Prima’ FlexAir® access control system’s range of cordless offline readers.
With its simple and stylish design in stainless steel, EvoLock® is well suited for modern homes, offices and hotels and provides quick access to apartment doors, offices, hotel rooms etc. Using a handle with a reader is a secure and solid solution for doors with high traffic. EvoLock® is suited for indoor mounting and is available as a rightwards or leftward handle. The handle is suited for Scandinavian doors or for DIN-profile cylinders.
EvoLock® is supplied with BST (Battery Saving Technology), which ensures optimal use of the batteries. EvoLock® has a sleep mode, which increases battery life by making the reader sleep when it is not active.
Unlocking a door has never been easier. Simply place your access tag or card in front of the reader, let EvoLock® unlock the door and press down the handle. A LED signal will indicate whether you have access to that particular door or not. The administrator can easily define users’ access rights in the Nova software, so they always have access to the relevant doors. Access can even be limited to specific time periods if needed.
The heart of the FlexAir® access control system
Nexus readers lie at the very heart of the Prima® FlexAir®
access control system. Online readers communicate constantly
with the centrals, making them ‘central’ to the FlexAir® concept.
A quick update…
Being in constant communication with the centrals means that
Nexus online readers are immediately being updated with the
latest permissions. They are therefore best placed by doors,
areas of high traffic, or rooms and corridors where you want to
maintain a high level of security.
There are four types of Nexus online readers: with keypad,
without keypad, Prox and MIFARE. Readers with keypad are
more secure but no less flexible, offering the additional options
of operation via PIN, card, or PIN and card. For high security
areas we support MIFARE DESFire EV1 which includes 128-bit
Advantages of using
Nexus online readers
• Instant and continuous access permission updates
• Secure your office or building 24/7, 365 days a year
• Dramatically reduced power consumption with EST®
• Encrypted connection via RS485 BUS to Alpha central
• Lock and unlock via the central/software interface
• Automated timed locking and unlocking
• In-out movement counters to help traffic management
• MIFARE readers equipped with NFC (Smartphone
• The firmware of the readers can be upgraded via
• Anti pass-back.
Prima’s elevator solution is an innovative way of combining access control with elevators. With elevator control you always know who has access to your elevators, which greatly enhances security. The system is controlled by Prima Elevator Controllers that can control up to 10 elevator destinations per unit.
The Elevator Controller is managed through the Nova software. Here you can easily change users’ access rights without involving the elevator company as well as gaining a quick overview of who uses the elevators and when. This makes your life easier in addition to saving you both time and money.
With the Nova software it is possible to manage individual access rights so different users can access the different floors relevant to them. In an apartment building it is even possible to give a visitor to a specific apartment access only to that apartment’s floor.
With Prima’s GSM gateway solution it is possible to open doors or gates with your mobile phone instead of using access tags or cards. This is the ideal solution if you have several visitors who only need access to a particular location within a specific timeframe. This could for example be truck drivers who need to deliver or collect packages within a limited period of time.
The setup is simple and requires only good network coverage and a sim-card. Add the telephone number and country code to the Nova software along with the given timeframe. The user gets access by calling or sending an SMS to the number stored in the GSM gateway.
It is possible to connect the GSM gateway to Prima’s access control system, so that the system functions as the sender of SMS messages in case of errors. In this way the system can generate automatic text messages to specific users in case of error messages in the system. This could for example be if a lost tag is used on an online reader, if someone opens a door in a certain time period, or if a system error occurs. The warning messages can help to solve a problem even before it develops.
With Prima’s GSM gateway it is possible to open a gate or door simply by sending a text message or calling from your phone. A resident or receptionist can smoothly let a visitor into the building without being near the entrance.
The GSM gateway can be used in many different situations. A business with many temporary visitors might find the phone based system preferable to the traditional tags and cards.
In the Nova software the users’ phone numbers are set as access providers in the same way as the regular access tags and cards. If a phone number is registered in the Nova software, the GSM gateway will unlock the door or gate when receiving a message.
The booking module makes it possible to reserve facilities on specific days and periods. All kinds of facilities can be assigned and booked through the user-friendly calendar page – only the imagination limits the use of this smart booking module.
Through the web-based software, users can easily book facilities for the desired time period. When a facility is booked, it is only the user who booked the facility whose access tag works in the given period. This makes sure that the facility is available for the user as planned.
As the system is 100% browser-based, it is possible to book from a smartphone, tablet or PC. This way you can book a sports court without being present at the sports field. In addition, the booking module can run separate in terminal mode, which requires only a touch screen and a connected Nexus-reader.
As part of Primas FlexAir® access control it is possible to manage and show information through digital info screens. The housing association or the company can personalize the info screens through a wide range of design and content possibilities, in terms of resident listings, text boxes, messages, Iframes (websites), video, images, etc.
It is quick and easy to share information with residents or visitors through digital displays. With digital information sharing, all loose letters and manual notes on message boards are avoided. Prima offers a 21.5” screen as standard model, which can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
It is possible to integrate the info screen driver into the FlexAir® access control system with e.g. readers, booking terminals, third-party door communication systems, etc. This information can be synchronized across different devices, which means that resident names are updated on all platforms.
The heart of any access control system is the central. In
addition to making our Alpha centrals as user-friendly as
possible, we were mindful of the need to make them ‘future
proof’. Of course, customers’ ability to add to and upgrade our
systems has always been a major focus, so all developments
have had to anticipate both new technologies and backward
compatibility. What we’ve created as a result therefore has a lot
of flexibility already built in to it. Alpha centrals are open to future
demands and have many interface and integration possibilities
Alpha centrals are suitable for two or four online doors and
come in two variants: standard, or an extended version with
PoE supply, USB socket and output relays. All are suitable for
