For decades, the deployment and field of tasks of the German Army (Bundeswehr) and the Police Forces were clearly defined, political circumstances and statutory basis meant that an armed deployment “out of area” was inconceivable. However, the situation regarding security policy and the scope of tasks have altered fundamentally. The process of globalization renders these missions necessary and the German military and police forces are consequently actively deployed abroad in foreign areas. These operations call for international co-operation in many different collaborative projects. International terrorism in particular presents the security agencies with major challenges. In order to be able to undertake these various tasks in a professional and successoriented manner, excellent training must be accompanied by the necessary equipment. Our core competences are body armour, anti riot gear, combat boots and gloves and tactical equipment.
Mehler Law Enforcement GmbH (MLE) was created on 1st October 2005 by reforming the well-known trading company MB Security GmbH.
On 1st May 2006, MLE took over the complete anti-riot protection division of Wilhelm Krawehl GmbH, thus expanding on our many years of expertise in the production and sales of high quality police and security equipment.
MLE is a 100% subsidiary of the proven and well established German protective vest manufacturer Mehler Vario System GmbH (MVS) and thus is part of the Mehler Vario Group.
In addition to the armour products of MVS and our own European production facility for anti-riot equipment, we also work with many prestigious, internationally renowned manufacturers and partners serving the police and security market.
ISO-certified production facilities and close collaboration with end users guarantee that our products are of the highest quality and are highly functional. Constant research and development and the intense cooperation with accredited test laboratories help to fine tune our products for the benefit of our customers.
